A woman has died after a 20 vehicle crash on a major road in Oxfordshire.
The crash, which stretched for more than 1 kilometre, happened on the A40 between Witney and Carterton at around 8.20 this morning.
Around 10-15 people were treated at the scene and another woman was taken to a major trauma unit at a nearby hospital.
Up to 20 vehicles were involved in the crash, six were reported to be badly damaged.
The road is now closed in both directions.
The A40, Witney is closed following a multi-vehicle collision. Emergency services are on scene and drivers are advised to avoid the area.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “Road closures are currently in place, and drivers are advised to avoid the area.”
