AMADOR COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – Mayor Anthony Silva was arrested Thursday for charges that involved a minor at his youth camp in Silver Lake, according to Amador Superior Court records. The charges came after a FBI investigation.
Charges have been filed against the mayor of Stockton, who was arrested on Thursday.
According to officials with the Amador County District Attorney’s Office, Anthony Silva was arrested at the Stockton Silver Lake Camp, which he presides over.
According to court documents, Silva has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, furnishing alcohol beverage to a person under the age of 21, cruelty to child by endangering health, and a felony count of recording confidential communications.
According to a biography on the City of Stockton’s website, Silva was elected mayor in 2012, and was born and raised in Stockton. The biography states that Silva “has a passion for helping youth”, and listed him as having served on the Stockton Unified District Board of Education, as well as the former Boys & Girls Club of Stockton, which reported lost its Boys & Girls Club charter in 2013.
