The man was removed by officers around noon Monday after they received a call of a naked person swimming in the water that morning, police said, adding he had been in the water for at least an hour.
A naked man who was seen swimming in a lake at Hermann Park has been pulled from the water.
The man caused quite a stir after being spotted in McGovern Lake shortly after 9 a.m. Monday.
Houston police tried to coax the man from the water for nearly four hours, but he refused.
It was not known why the man decided to take the morning swim. He was wrapped up and taken into custody.
This is not the only bizarre behavior happening at Hermann Park lately. Dozens of homeless people were rushed to the hospital after police say they smoked Kush, which has been an increasing drug habit among the homeless population at the park.
