HOLLAND PATENT, NEW YORK – Austin Parker was charged with second-degree murder for allegedly killing his father, Steven, about a month ago, police said. The victim’s body was found Wednesday in the backyard of his residence.
State police have made an arrest in a Holland Patent homicide.
Police arrested 17-year-old Austin Parker and charged him with murder in the second-degree.
Troopers say Parker killed his father about a month ago.
Officials were called to a home on Route 365 for a suspicious condition Wednesday. When they arrived they found, what they believed to be, the body of 52-year-old Steven Parker in the backyard of the house.
Troopers say they found Austin Parker driving in West Carthage after a bulletin was dispatched to local law enforcement.
An autopsy is pending.
