CENTER CITY, PHILADELPHIA – Homeland Security is interviewing an unidentified man and woman after they were found with smoke bombs and chemicals on top of the Hyatt at The Bellevue Hotel at 200 South Broad Street Monday night.
Homeland Security along with Philadelphia police are investigating an incident that happened at a hotel in Center City.
Police were called to the Hyatt at the Bellevue hotel located at Broad and Walnut streets for a report of people running on the rooftop around 7 p.m. Monday.
When they arrived they found two people with smoke bombs, a suspicious liquid, and camera equipment.
A man and woman were taken into custody for unauthorized access to the roof.
Sources say the two people in their twenties wanted to take pictures on the roof using smoke bombs for a smoke effect.
Police are sorting out the details. So far, no charges have been filed. The two could face a summons or possible burglary charges.
No injuries were reported.
