17 Soldiers Killed by Terrorists Attack At Uri Army BaseThe terrorists have killed 17 Army soldiers and wounded 19 in a suicide attack on an army camp in Kashmir. Four terrorists attacked the camp near the headquarters of Brigade 12 in Uri, Baramulla District in. This makes it one of the deadliest terrorist attacks on security forces in recent times.

To put the death toll in perspective, seven soldiers were killed in the terrorist attack Pathankot  in January 2016. The attack on the base of the Air Force of India as it has become a major international diplomatic incident.

The high number of victims in the terrorist attack Uri could be attributed to the fact that a large number of soldiers, Dogra Regiment, had been stationed at the camp in tents and other temporary structures. Some of these stores were burned during the attack, and the fire spread to other parts of the barracks. The soldiers were stationed there and they were turning over a service period.

Four heavily armed terrorists attacked the camp at 4 am. They have been neutralized by the Army, and combing operations are currently underway to disinfect the area.

It is believed that the terrorist attack Uri was the work of a terrorist who infiltrated across the Line of Control (LOC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), which may have come along Nallah Salamabad in Uri.

The attack comes two years after terrorists carried out a similar type of attack Mohra, in the same region. Ten security personnel were killed in the attack which took place on December 5, 2014.

Helicopters Division headquarters 19th Army in Baramulla have been put into service to evacuate injured personnel.

Army chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag and Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar are set to visit Kashmir and is expected to meet with soldiers wounded in the terrorist attack Uri.

Union Minister Rajnath Singh Interior has postponed his departure to Russia and the US + To control the situation, and chair a high-level meeting on the subject.

“Keep the state of Jammu and Kashmir in the mind and in the wake of the terrorist attack in Uri, I postponed my visits to Russia and the US,” said Rajnath Singh in a series of tweets.

“I spoke with the governor (NN Vohra) and Chief Minister (Mehbooba Mufti) of Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the terrorist attack in Uri. I have been informed of the security situation in the state,” he said. “I have instructed the Minister of the Interior (Rajiv Mehrishi) and other senior officers in the MHA (Ministry of Interior) to monitor the situation Union,” he added.
