Season 6 of American Horror Story Premiere Recap, Episode 1

Season 6 of American Horror Story“It is difficult to block a spirit, but not impossible. The most successful attempt that I know happened when the United States is known as the New World … In 1590, on the coast of what is now known as North Carolina, entire colony of Roanoke – 117 men, women and children – died inexplicably.

He became known as the Colony of Santo because the spirits remained. They chased the native tribes living nearby, killing indiscriminately. The old man knew he had to act. He put a curse exile.

First, he collected personal belongings of the dead settlers. Then he burned. The ghosts appeared, summoned by their talismans.

But before that spirits could cause more harm, the old man ended the curse that chase away the ghosts forever. Delivering a single world … the same word found carved a place in the colony abandoned: Croatoan “.

Who monologued that! Why is your average neighborhood Billie Dean Howard, psychic eccentric way back in Season 1 of American Horror Story is called to help free the murder House lingering ghosts.

The speech, in the penultimate episode of the season, complements an earlier speech Billie offers about how to evict the spirits of the “paramagnetic grip” of evil, which apparently exists in the world as a kind of persistent result of events release it. Something like cookies or baked contamination.

Yes, all the way back in Season 1, American Horror Story joked an urban legend of the municipalities of escape, restless spirits, and the lost colony of Roanoke. Just five short years later, we have our theme for the sixth cycle addictively creepy creation of Ryan Murphy.

Friends, this is American Horror Story: My Roanoke nightmare. And you can join me in my nightmare Roanoke while trying to make sense of the new very mysterious season, the network has remained in the lock and key so I gleaned a variety of sh-ts and an abundance of giggles. But hell if the plot does excites me the strangeness of this new season even more.

“Inspired by true events,” the season appears to be installed in lines double time with two sets of actors: One, in the apparent today, features interviews sitdown for a documentary-style real crime, I can only assume actually it called My Roanoke nightmare. The other, in the not too distant past, shows what happened to a very nice couple – Shelby yoga teacher and pharmaceutical salesman Matt – in Roanoke, North Carolina. (Will there be a payment to the documentary format, apart from the advantage of knowing Shelby, Matt, and Lee survive? Or is it simply a new concept that will not get much explanation, like the way they have been filming the people in Modern Family as from 15 years ago?)

It is an even quintessence 2016 parodize totally crazy notion of our obsession with paranormal shows TLC, and Murphy is folded down into the trick format through Season 6 AHS WTF # 1: Double wash. Lily Rabe plays the “real” Shelby; his counterpart in the timeline is recreated Sarah Paulson. Andre Holland assumes the role of the current Matt, played by Cuba Gooding Jr. in the flashback.

So, here’s the deal: Shelby and Matt are looking for a fresh start after a meeting with gang violence and the loss of a pregnancy, and are in a small cottage of the 18th century in Carolina northern. Matt blows her savings to buy it at auction, to the indignation of the three very upset rubes, pictured below:

As they renovate the house, ShelbyPaulson grows reluctant and distant. Matt chalks that up to miscarriage, but ShelbyRabe reveals he felt an overwhelming sense of danger from the moment they entered the house.

During sex, Shelby hears strange moan, followed by a stroke (which I guess is the way that could also describe the sexual act itself). Matt goes out and finds the courtyard has been trashed, and a trash can fly directed his way suggests that it is simply vandalism of racist rednecks who do not support an interracial couple.
