Rick Perry last ranked in 'Dancing with the Stars' debutFormer Gov. Rick Perry made a principle of good character Monday night ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” but tripped the light fantastic far from the season premiere live.

Now in its 23rd season, “Dancing with the Stars” continues to match famous and infamous faces of yesteryear and today with the most difficult hoofing professional dancers on television, as Jive, foxtrot, waltz and cha cha your way to the prize end – the coveted trophy shining mirror ball and all the bragging rights that this entails.

In addition to Perry, celebrity dancers this season include Olympic gymnast funny Laurie Hernandez, who Cha cha’d to – what else? – “American Girl” by Bonnie McKee, and Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte confused, who foxtrotted that – again, what else? – “Call Me Irresponsible”.
