Perrie Edwards Slap Dj After Admitting He Dumped Zayn Malik By Text

The Little Mix girls are known for being feisty, having thrown a DJ’s interview papers across the room after he questioned Jesy Nelson’s love life earlier this month.

And Perrie Edwards was not afraid to shoot another presenter down on Thursday morning, when he admitted he had dumped his ex-girlfriend by text.

The 23-year-old, who has confirmed in the past that her ex Zayn Malik did the same to her, naturally did not take well to the admission – and responded by slapping the French DJ clean around the face.

The Shout Out To My Ex singer had headed to radio station NRJ to appear on the C’Cauet show with her fellow bandmates as part of promotion for their new album Glory Days in Europe.

However, things soon became awkward for the blonde beauty when host Cauet admitted he had ended things with his ex by a single text message, in French.

Upon hearing the translation in English, the South Shields native turned to the presenter in shock before reaching up and slapping him on the cheek.

The act was met with cheers and chanting of her name from the crowds, while Perrie giggled second after and turned back around to answer more questions, proving it had only been a joke.

However the comment was still a bold shot from the DJ, after Perrie confirmed in the Little Mix autobiography Our World that her fiancé of two years Zayn Malik had broken up with her via text.

In the passage from the tome, she writes: ‘It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that.

‘Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.’

She later revealed to Heart Radio that the event had happened in an airport, which left her helplessly screaming and crying in heartbreak.

Speaking about her worst incident with an ex, she told the show: ‘I was at the airport and I got an awful phone call, erm, from someone. And then… I just… what did I…? I just remember screaming in the airport.’

Helping her recall the incident, band mate Jade Thirlwall confirmed: ‘She had a little mini breakdown in the airport. And it was in the security line and so we thought “oh God.’

Known for their feisty natures, it is also not the first time that the Little Mix girls have hit back at pressing interview questions.

In an interview with Nova 969’s radio hosts Fitzy & Wippa earlier this month, Perrie and Jade lost their temper in spectacular fashion after being asked why Jesy Nelson hasn’t been wearing her engagement ring recently.

Taken aback by the blunt line of questioning, Jade, 23, screeched: ‘That’s brutal that!’ whilst Perrie agreed: ‘That’s brutal, you just came out with that.’

As the host floundered and claimed: ‘I didn’t write the questions!’ Jade snatched the paper out of his hand and threw it away.

Giggling at her pal’s actions, Perrie cackled: ‘Next question, sir. What are you going to do without your paper now, smart-a**e?’

The question came after rumours began to swirl that Jesy and her fiancé Jake Roche had called an end to their romance.

Sources tell The Sun that the duo have been broken up for weeks – despite Jesy wearing her ring during a TV appearance on Sunday.

Insiders tell the paper the couple have split already, saying: ‘Their relationship became strained and they grew apart. They started rowing and it became too much.’

Yet another insider revealed: ‘It’s over as far as Jesy’s concerned and there’s no going back. The wedding is off and her engagement ring won’t be going back on. Jesy’s so busy with her career and she’s throwing herself into work.’

Despire the ring returning to her finger over the last week, Jesy did not seem to wear it during the band’s tour of Sydney, where the interview took place – and eagle-eyed fans spotted that she no longer follows Jake on Instagram.

The couple have been engaged for 18 months after the 24-year-old hunk, who is the son of Coleen Nolan and Shane Richie, employed the help of Ed Sheeran to propose to Jesy last July, on stage at the Manchester Arena.
