An officer in Bartlett, Tennessee, spotted Patrick Lanshaw swerving off the roadway at 3 a.m. local time Sunday, and he smelled of alcohol and did poorly on a field sobriety test, police said.
A local Memphis rapper was arrested after he was seen weaving on the road, police said.
Patrick Lanshaw, also known by his stage name Lil Wyte, is charged with driving under the influence.
Bartlett police said they witnessed Lanshaw weaving into the travel lane. He then swerved off the road causing minor damage to his vehicle. Police issued a traffic stop to prevent further harm.
According to the arrest affidavit, Lanshaw smelled of alcohol and had watery eyes.
A field sobriety test was conducted. Police said he performed poorly on the walk and other tests.
He refused a breathalyzer test and was transported to 201 Poplar, according to the arrest affidavit.
Patrick Lanshaw’s bond is set at $3,000.
