Kerry Katona’s Fitness Nutrition Range Has Fold After Less Than a Year

KERRY Katona’s fitness nutrition range has folded after less than a year.

Kfit’s collapse came despite a glitzy diet campaign fronted by the former Atomic Kitten singer.

All products on its website — including protein bars and shakes — are listed as out of stock “due to high demand”.

Its contact number for queries is out of action and its official Twitter account has spewed only spam for months.

Mum-of-five Kerry, 36, has fallen silent about the business after a burst of publicity surrounding its Boxing Day launch.

A spokesperson for the star tells The Sun says: ‘There were unrealistic business ambitions and the company behind Kfit ran out of funds.’

The latest issue with Kerry finances comes after two bankruptcies.

Kerry was forced to deny that she had filed for bankruptcy for a third time in February 2014 when she was pregnant with her fifth child.

It was claimed at the time that Kerry was considering taking out a pay day loan to cover her rent on a six-bedroom Oxfordshire home that she shared with now-estranged third husband George Kay.

The singer was declared bankrupt in 2008 due to £86,000 unpaid tax bill and for a second time in July 2013.

Speaking to The Telegraph in January 2013, Kerry said that she was glad she was made bankrupt the first time.

‘Money’s an issue for me,’ she said. ‘I’m really weird around money. I feel like I have to pay and bought my husband whatever he wanted: he had a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, an Aston Martin, a Porsche. He kept changing them but we always had a few cars at one time.’

Last month, Kerry was slammed after revealing she had attempted to help her mother commit suicide.

She admitted to helping her mother’s potential bid to end her life in new show, In Therapy, and Kerry Katona admits she’s had a negative reaction to the revelation.

In an interview with Holly Willoughby and Ben Shephard on This Morning on Thursday, she said some viewers believe she is a criminal.

The 36-year-old mother-of-five said: ‘I’ve been having people saying I should be arrested on Twitter. I was 15 years old at the time and I was in a foster home.’

‘The love of my mother’s life had just died when it happened. The way I gave her the pills, was more like, “Go on then, if you’re doing it, take them. You’re selfish.”

‘Then I phoned the ambulance. Then the next day I took my GCSE’s and failed them. But that was the last time I saw mum do it. But it’s all been taken out of context.’

Kerry said she didn’t do the show to be negative, but says she believes the way both she and her mother have turned their lives around is a great thing.

Defending herself, she said: ‘I am not troubled, nor am I car crash. I want this to be a success story. So many people have been through the same issues as us.’

All items on the website are now showing as ‘out of stock’.

Her spokesman said: “There were unrealistic business ambitions and the company behind Kfit ran out of funds.”

Kerry had invited fans to “join me” in “shaping their bodies”.
