Jennifer Esposito is set to join the season 14 cast of the crime investigation show on CBS, outlets reported. She will appear in the role of special agent Alex Quinn. She previously appeared in “Blue Bloods.”
Cast as Special Agent Alexandra “Alex” Quinn, Esposito is set to join NCIS as a series regular when television’s #1 drama returns for its fourteenth season.
Quinn has been an instructor at the Law Enforcement Training Center, but Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) convinces her to return to field work. He’ll be eager to put her sharp wit, quick mind, and immense talent into practice again.
NCIS Executive Producer Gary Glasberg is also eager to have Esposito on board. “She embodies everything that we hoped for in the character of Quinn and we can’t wait to have her come be a part of our team,” he said.
Esposito is returning to the CBS family, having previously been on Blue Bloods and Judging Amy. She’s also known for her work on The Affair, Mistresses, Samantha Who?, Rescue Me, and Spin City. Her movie roles include You Get Me, She’s Funny That Way, Crash, Don’t Say a Word,Welcome to Collinwood, and Summer of Sam, among others.
Jennifer will be joined on the show by Wilmer Valderrama, who was announced as an NCISseries regular last month. In addition, Duane Henry, who guest starred in the final two episodes of NCIS last season as MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves, will return in the fall.
