Green Day Releases New Single 'Bang Bang,' New Album to Debut Oct. 7

“It’s about the culture of mass shooting that happens in America mixed with narcissistic social media,” frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told Rolling Stone of the song off the “Revolution Radio” album.

Green Day will release their 12th studio album, Revolution Radio, on Oct. 7 via Reprise Records.

The album is available for preorder at www.greendaydotcom. Those who preorder will receive an instant download of the first single, “Bang Bang,” which is now available. The band released a lyric video for the song exclusively via Facebook, which you can check out below.

“Of course the world has lost its collective mind… and me, Mike and Tré are lost souls too,” says Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. “Revolution Radio is a movement for lost souls to come together… dance together… sing together… and most of all, find each other. That’s what the spirit of Green Day has been about since day one.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and Grammy Award-winning punk band will reveal more details about Revolution Radio and live dates will be revealed in the coming weeks.
