Lynda Carter appears in the CBS television series as the president of the United States. The former star of “Wonder Woman” appeared in a photo on set with “Supergirl” star Melissa Benoist on Thursday.
A meeting of super-ladies took place on the set of Supergirl season 2 as Melissa Benoist posed for a photo next to Lynda Carter.
“Met a wonderful woman today,” Benoist wrote next to a black-and-white photo posted to Instagram. Carter portrayed DC heroine Wonder Woman in the character’s superhero TV show from the 1970s. On The CW’s Supergirl, she’ll play the President of the United States.
“We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter,” executive producer Greg Berlanti previously teased of Carter. “We couldn’t work out her schedule. Next year.”
The new season also marks the debut of Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin as Superman. Other actors from days of DC past who’ve made appearances on Supergirl are Dean Cain (Lois and Clark) and Helen Slater (Supergirl).
Supergirl will premiere on The CW on Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
