Guess Waffle House has got the right stuff.
Donnie Wahlberg hit a Waffle House restaurant in Charlotte ahead of a scheduled performance at Spectrum Center. After the staff left a great impression on him, he left them a $2,000 tip.
The singer and actor said in a Facebook Live video that he’d finished a busy day on the set of CBS show Blue Bloods. The staff was so kind to him, he wanted to pay it forward.
Wahlberg posted a photo of the bill Thursday morning, which was only $82.60, and a selfie with the staff on his Instagram Wednesday.
“My mom waited tables and my dad tended bars–for years! So when I walk into a #WaffleHouse and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens! Thanks to the team at @wafflehouseofficial in Charlotte, NC!” he wrote.
While at the restaurant, Wahlberg also gave a fan of Blue Bloods backstage passes to his Thursday concert.
