Bella Hadid, 19, has made the cover of French Vogue’s September issue — and like any model of the Instagram generation, has shared her excitement (and done some free marketing for the mag in turn) via social media.
“September issue of Vogue Paris!” Hadid wrote on Instagram, captioning an image of the cover showing her with model Taylor Hill. “Thank you so very much @emmanuellealt. Shot by
the great @mertalas & @macpiggott with @taylor_hill. Thank you thank you thank you! Such an honor!”
In another photo Hadid shared from inside the spread, she added a little floral censorship on a topless shot, which served as an opportunity for the model to fly the flag for the beloved cause of models everywhere, #freethenipple. “#Freeingthenipple for our French Vogue cover with my brothers @mertalas & @macpiggott Thank you for opening my eyes to a new art form I love You! Thank you for the opportunity and experience @emmanuellealt @vogueparis and everyone for your support #LoveYourBody.”
The so-called Instagirl model craze shows no sign of slowing: Hadid’s French Vogue cover comes at the same time that Kendall Jenner covers the September issue of American Vogue, which, in turn, was released following the magazine’s August cover with Gigi Hadid. Gigi Hadid was the cover girl for the March issue of French Vogue.
